  5. The telephone - easy to use and widely available - replaces the usual terminal
  6. or PC as the means of "talking" to a computer. By using the tones now used by
  7. most exchanges, the telephone can be used to control the computer and to input
  8. or receive data. The telephone keypad replaces the terminal keyboard and the
  9. computer literally speaks back rather than displaying a screen-based response.
  10. Any user wishing to access the system just calls and, in answer to spoken
  11. prompts, simply taps in enquiries or inputs data using the telephone keypad.
